SAT Math Prep Course

This course is designed to prepare students for the August 26,2023 SAT math sections and includes:
16 units of material with over 2400 SAT practice problems
16 hours of class time with the instructor
Up to 8 mock tests administered at a quiet learning center with score reports provided for each
16 videos with worked out solutions for each homework set assigned
8 virtual office hours
2 hours of bonus review two days prior to the actual test
AP Calculus AB/BC Enrichment

Class Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30pm-5:30pm
This course is designed to prepare students taking AP Calculus AB or BC in the upcoming 2023-24 school year. The focus of the course will be on AP test problems for limits, derivatives, and integrals. The types of problems on AP tests tend to be more advanced than those in a typical textbook so students will gain experience with those sorts of problems. The instructor will teach mini lessons throughout but most of the student’s time will be spent collaborating on higher level problems with the other students in the class. Students will be assigned a homework set each Wednesday and the instructor will post a video solving each problem on Friday of each week. By the end of the course, the student should expect to have improved their critical thinking skills, familiarized themselves with the relevant concepts involved with limits, derivatives, and integrals, and will enter their school AP Calculus course with an ability to approach any AP test problem with confidence.
Geometry Enrichment

Class Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00pm-3:00pm
This course is designed to prepare students taking Geometry in the upcoming 2023-24 school year. The focus of the course will be writing proofs since this seems to be the most challenging part high school geometry. The instructor will teach mini lessons throughout but most of the student’s time will be spent collaborating on higher level problems with the other students in the class. Students will be assigned a homework set each Wednesday and the instructor will post a video solving each problem on Friday of each week. By the end of the course, the student should expect to have improved their critical thinking skills, familiarized themselves with the relevant definitions/theorems, and will enter their school geometry course with an expert level of ability on writing proofs.

This course is designed to prepare students taking Algebra 2 in the upcoming 2023-24 school year. The focus of the course will be on applied word problems. The instructor will teach mini lessons throughout but most of the student’s time will be spent collaborating on higher level problems with the other students in the class. Students will be assigned a homework set each Thursday and the instructor will post a video solving each problem on Saturday of each week. By the end of the course, the student should expect to have improved their critical thinking skills, familiarized themselves with the relevant concepts, and will enter their school Algebra 2 course with an ability to solve any higher-level assessment problem.
Precalculus Enrichment

This course is designed to prepare students taking Precalculus in the upcoming 2023-24 school year. The focus of the course will be on applications of trigonometry and advance precalculus concepts. The instructor will teach mini lessons throughout but most of the student’s time will be spent collaborating on higher level problems with the other students in the class. Students will be assigned a homework set each Thursday and the instructor will post a video solving each problem on Saturday of each week. By the end of the course, the student should expect to have improved their problem-solving skills, familiarized themselves with the relevant concepts, and will enter their school Precalculus course with an ability to solve any higher-level assessment problem.
